late night programming

I suffer from insomnia and often find myself laying in bed searching for the most mundane, mind-numbing television shows to help lull my brain into sleep.  In my Late Night Programming series, I began to capture long, random exposures of what I was watching as a way to express how time is experienced, especially late at night.  When desperate for sleep, moments stretch into what seems like hours, transforming the inconsequential into something more meaningful.  The visual distortions created by the long camera exposures and happenstance movement of the images on the television screen began to create two-dimensional narratives for me… my photographic bedtime stories.
